Foldami support
Step-by-step origami on iPhone and iPad. On iPhone Duo you fold by closing the phone, elsewhere with a finger. No account, no network.
What is Foldami
Foldami teaches origami one step at a time. On iPhone Duo you put the dashed line on the fold of the screen and close the phone a little: the paper folds with it. On any other iPhone and on iPad you fold with a finger.
Eleven guided models, from a paper cup to a swan, plus a blank sheet to fold your own way. Everything happens on the device: no account, no internet connection, no data collected.

Frequently asked questions
Does it work without an iPhone Duo?
Yes. On any iPhone and on iPad you fold by touch: move the sheet with two fingers until the dashed line sits on the line down the middle of the screen, or tap Align for me, then tap Fold or drag the orange circle across the line. The models are the same; the outer screen and the lectern exist only on iPhone Duo.
How do I fold with the hinge?
With the phone open, move and turn the sheet with two fingers until the dashed line sits on the fold of the screen and turns green. Then close your iPhone Duo a little, like a book. The flap lifts, follows the hinge and lands on the other side. Picked the wrong flap? Tap Undo and fold that step again.
What are the cover screen and the lectern?
Two ways to follow the steps without touching your work. The cover is the outer screen: when you close your iPhone Duo it shows a drawing of the next step, Next and Back let you look at the others, and when you open it again you carry on where you were. The lectern appears when you hold your iPhone Duo half closed, like a book standing on a table: one half shows the step in large size, the other has the Previous step and Next step buttons. It is meant for folding real paper.
Where is my work saved, and how do I delete it?
It saves itself on the device, and you find it in My work. To delete a piece, swipe its row to the left and tap Delete. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it, along with your preferences. Nothing goes through iCloud: on a new phone your work arrives only with a device backup.
Is Foldami accessible?
Text follows your system text size, including the largest ones. VoiceOver reads out the sheet, how many layers it has, and the controls. Every fold can also be done by touch, without the hinge, and every gesture has its own button: Fold, Align for me, Turn over, Undo.
Which languages is it in?
Twelve: Italian, English, German, French, Spanish (Spain and Latin America), Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified and Traditional Chinese. The app follows your iPhone's language; to change it for Foldami only, go to Settings > Apps > Foldami > Language.
How do I report a problem?
Email support@simplebuild.it or call +39 389 314 8174. Tell me your iPhone or iPad model, the iOS version, the origami model and the step where you got stuck: a screenshot speeds things up.
